We
are avid
Quality Control advocates. My experience (Randy Williams) from importing
products from China, and as a consumer buying items from China has substantiated
the need for strong Quality Control measures. As we bring in parts or
products I look at them as if they were going to be mine. What would I
expect from a QC perspective? Combine that with the requests from you
"our customer" and we can assure you every possible step will be
taken in the production of your products. Following is a guideline we
use with new factories, and for customers ordering a full QC report on a
specific production run.
Sample Factory
Audit:
1. Factory audit. Before the production starts, we would conduct a Factory audit which will include the following:
a) Organization
b) Procurement
c) Manufacturing
d) Statistical Quality Control
e) Factory QA/QC
f) Safety and P.R.A.T. (Product Reliability Assurance Test )
Procedure
g) Facility
h) Others ( continuous improvement and customer satisfactory) There will be a very detailed report on above issues and the problem found, the top management of the factory should provide us a countermeasure and corrective actions on above within 10 days.
2. Pre-inspection. This will be conducted at the pilot run stage and covering the following issues:
a) Check the production units per the Manufacturer's Inspection procedure and
judgment criteria
b) Check the production units per customer's sample
c) Check the production line set up
d) Check the P.R.A.T. status on this product
e) Conduct the Safety test, Vibration test, Master carton and individual drop test
f) Storage and Operate temperature test Also there is a detailed report on above issues and the problem
found, the factory should provide us a countermeasure and corrective actions on above within5
working days.
3. Final outgoing inspection.
The mass production should starts only after all the above mentioned problems have been properly solved, and we will conduct the final outgoing inspection only when the products the factory QA audit. The following aspects will be covered during the outgoing inspection:
---- a) Package condition check
---- b) Comparing customer's sample
---- c) Function check
---- d) Internal check
---- e) Reliability test
---- f ) Full data measurement
---- g) The inspection will be conducted per MIL-STD-105E, LEVEL-II, Single sampling plan, Normal. Critical-- AQL: 0;
Major--AQL: 0.65; Minor--AQL: 1.5.
For each of the above items we have a very detailed check list, e.g., Function check
a) Perform the function per the Owner's Manual.
b) Cosmetic check: dirty, scratches, labels, migrations (AC cord, rubber foot), paintings, screen printing, discoloration of the cabinets, cracks, stress marks, shrink marks, sharp edges (points), etc.
c) Assemble check: mounting screws, rubber foot, bracket mounting, etc.
d) Fitness check: adapter, plug, accessories, gap between cabinets, latch, socket, connector.
e) Safety: AC cord, length, plug shape, warning, UL, etc.
f ) Strength: plastic molded plug end, pull test of wire and cable.
g) Mechanical strength of moving part: antenna must stand at any angle.
h) Metal parts: rust, corrosion, sharp point or spur, deformation, etc
A Final Inspection Report will be issued out with the judgment of "passed" or "Rejected" and the problems found.

is of interest to you, please contact us for information.
